Product Description
DISSCO® 591 is a non-fibered bituminous coating for coating steel pipe and steel pilings and weld plates that is to be installed in subsurface installations. DISSCO® 591 improves the dielectric resistance and is impervious to salts and alkali that readily attack underground piping, leading to eventual metal fatigue and failure. The DISSCO® 591 dries to a semi-hard black surface that allows for tack free handling and decreases friction associated with pile driving or horizontal pipe placement.
DISSCO® 591 is manufactured with high grade hard pen industrial type asphalts, fast drying solvents formulated together with special additives that allows the DISSCO® 591 to adhere to steel pipe much more readily than most other products available today.
Application
DISSCO® 591 is ready to use directly from the container. DISSCO® 591 requires no thinning or heating required and can be applied by brush or sprayed with adequate airless equipment. The surface to be coated must be clean and dry, free of any material or oils, which shall prevent proper adhesion to the surface.
Recommended Coverage
It is recommended that each coat of DISSCO® 591 be applied at a rate of 100 to 150 sq ft per gallon with a dry film thickness of 8 to 10 mills (.2 - .25 mm)

Packaging
DISSCO® 591 is available in packages sizes of 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums.
WILL NOT FREEZE, may be stored outdoors.
When temperature is below 60F – store product indoors overnight prior to use.
Clean equipment with mineral spirits.Caution
Contains petroleum distillates. Do not use near fire or flame. Use with adequate ventilation. Vapor harmful. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin or breathing of vapor. Close container tightly after each use. Harmful or fatal if swallowed. If swallowed, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Call physician immediately. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

DISSCO® warrants its products to be free of defects in materials, but makes no warranty as to appearance or color. Since methods of application and on site conditions are beyond our control and can affect performance, DISSCO® makes no other warranty, express or implied, including warranties of MERCHANTABILTY and FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, with respect to DISSCO® coatings. DISSCO®’s sole obligation shall be, at its option, to replace, or to refund the purchase price of, the quality of DISSCO® coating proved to be defective and DISSCO shall not be liable for any loss or damage, including incidental or consequential damages, arising from the use of DISSCO® coatings.
